Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs, International Economic Relations, Investments and Tourism of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan

Alisher Kurmanov graduated from Tashkent State University in 1990, four years later he graduated from Tashkent State Economic University. From 2000 to 2003, he served as advisor at the Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the United Kingdom on trade and economic issues. Later he headed diplomatic missions in Singapore and Australia. Since 2014, Kurmanov served as deputy foreign minister of Uzbekistan. From 2015 to 2017, she was appointed on the position of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Since May 2017, he has been appointed as a Head of the Committee on Foreign Relations of the Senate of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
